Adobe has released a new update for Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. This is the latest in the series of updates between v13 and v14, which will be out in 2020. Today’s update includes several security patches that address critical vulnerabilities that would allow an attacker to take control of an affected system. This update will install automatically through the Creative Cloud desktop application the next time you start it up—you don't have to do anything but wait for it to finish downloading. If you want to manually download and install this patch, you can find it at https://helpx.adobe.com/en/products/premiere-pro/patch-utility-downloads... . The security bulletin, with details on all the patches included in this release, is available at https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/premiere-pro/apsb19-30.html . This release also updates the version number in the About box in Creative Cloud to 13.1.1.15, and includes a completely revamped user interface that layers new features on top of an existing look and feel. In general, the changes are intended to make it easier for users to stay up-to-date with new features and changes when they're released from Adobe Labs—a subject I'll cover in more detail when I update this page in a few months. Note: The July 2019 release of Adobe Premiere Pro CC received no new features. It continues to be limited to working on the latest and greatest (or very close) versions of the most widely used software. This means that it will continue not to work with older versions of Apple Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Media Encoder, and Avid Media Composer until they are updated to an "N" version number. It will continue not to work with Google's Power Director because Google has not released a new version of Power Director in several years, and new versions only add features that were not available in older ones. Users who install this update need to restart their computer. The complete list of bug fixes and security patches in this release is available at https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/release-notes-cc-2018-update... . The following list includes the most important changes:Resolves an issue that caused GPU Affinity to sometimes fail to apply on Windows 10 when multiple monitors are connected. Resolves an issue that caused a black screen when applying a transition effect between clips in a secondary storyline. Resolves an issue where default names for output files may not match the names chosen by users. eccc085e13
